November 2019
On behalf of all the membership, each employee is given a week’s salary as a Christmas or Holiday gift. As hopefully all of our members understand, our staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide special service to each of our members. They often work late at night, on holidays and weekends to ensure that each member receives the highest level of Lehigh service. Whether it is cutting grass at 6:00 a.m. or cleaning up from social events at 2:00 a.m., we have a dedicated and committed group of professionals who serve the membership very well.
Many club members often tip certain visible members of the staff during the holiday season. Unfortunately, many key staff members are invisible to the membership, yet are critical to the success of Lehigh. In order to show our appreciation to each full-time staff member, the Board has elected to provide an easy vehicle for club members to thank all of the staff at this special time of the year.
If you desire, and this is strictly voluntary, in your monthly statement there will be a slip for you to fill out indicating the amount you wish to contribute or you can add the contribution to your October payment as a gift for all of the employees of Lehigh Country Club in addition to the one week’s salary. The funds collect-ed will be equally divided and will be greatly appreciated. Only full-time employees of one full year of service or more will be eligible and all employees will receive a card with the names of all contributors. Our Senior Management Team will not benefit from this effort.
The Board created this vehicle to send member’s thanks in an efficient way to each long-term employee. They sincerely hope that you will consider a gift to these loyal and dedicated staff members.
I thank you in advance for your consideration and support of our wonderful team. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if you have any questions.
On behalf of the entire staff of Lehigh Country Club, we wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Sincerely,
John T. Yurconic, President

Members should consider common sense, respect for tradition, modesty and the comfort level of fellow members when making decisions concerning denim.
Additional Information:
• Children should be dressed according to the same guidelines as their parents.
• Each member is responsible to inform their guests of the club dress code and requirements so it does not fall solely upon
the staff to do so.
• Certain areas of the club may have a dress code imposed for a specific event. Event specific dress codes take precedence over the standard code for that event.
• No hoodies.
• Blue denim is permitted between November 1 and March 31 in appropriate locations. (See chart). White denim allowed
all year.
• Swim covers NOT permitted on Terrace and at the Terrace Bar after 5pm.

SERVICE AWARDS
                Lehigh Express November 2019 19
 Congratulations Lori Belles
Lori’s Lehigh history starts as a teenager serving under the Food and Beverage Manager Bernie. After many years spent managing the Food & Beverage industry she returned in April 2013 to revitalize the Halfway House.
She was pleasantly surprised by the effortless camaraderie with Ladies and Men’s Golfers alike. Members’ supported Lori by frequenting her Macungie Farmers Market stand Thursday evenings. The rapport formed with membership began to feel more like family and made for an ideal transition into the Golf Shop.
Her time away from Lehigh is spent restoring positive energy: walking cooking, meditation and sketching. Sharing time with her two children and two grandchildren is an immeasurable blessing!

The mission of Lehigh Country Club is to be the private country club of choice in the Lehigh Valley. This will be achieved by providing quality facilities and services and by making Lehigh Country Club every member’s preferred establishment for dining, social, and recreational activities.
We will provide an outstanding golf course in terms of appearance, condition, and fairness to all levels of play, in addition to an excellent tennis, paddle tennis, swim, and clubhouse facilities, with well manicured grounds surrounding the club complex. Employees will treat every member, family member, and guest with courtesy and respect, in a warm and welcome atmosphere.
In order to insure the excellent experience for the members, the Club will carefully select compatible new members and appropriately limit the total membership.
The Board of Governors and management will be both responsive to the membership, as well as responsible, with the purpose of perpetuating the Club by constantly maintaining the facilities and operating the Club in a sound financial manner to protect and enhance the value of the member’s equity, thereby assuring the continuity of Lehigh Country Club’s long tradition of excellence.
