Dear LCC Members,
Happy New Year! I hope everyone is healthy and had a nice holiday season with their family and loved ones.
I want to thank the membership for a great season so far. Back in April, my staff and I didn’t know what the rest of the year would look like due to the pandemic, but it was amazing to see so many members come and play tennis, pickleball and paddle. We had pretty warm weather till middle of December, therefore our outdoor tennis courts were up and running until the beginning of December.
We also started Paddle in October at LCC. Both our men’s and women’s teams started to compete in the Philadelphia league, however the season was suspended after Thanksgiving due to COVID-19. The league will evaluate the situation in middle of January and decide if we will resume play.
We had a record breaking number of forty men player sign up for the Monday night in-house league, which began middle of November. Two paddle social mixers were held in November and December. All of our paddle social mixers are held outside with adequate heating on the deck.
In January, we will host the most popular paddle social at LCC, “Black Light Paddle”. It was very well attended last year, and everyone enjoyed thoroughly. I want to assure everyone that we will host these events while following all the safety protocols and guidelines. The event will be held on January 15th, 2021.
Look forward to seeing you all! Thank you,

A LETTER FROM THE GM
Dear LCC Members:
Happy New Year! I am very excited to be starting off 2021 returning to Lehigh Country Club. I am looking forward to reconnecting with those of you that I have known for years and also meeting so many new members. I thought I would take
a moment to reach out to both of those groups by catching you up on my life and introducing myself to those I have not met. My husband, Doug & I live in Emmaus and have two children. Doug is a School Counselor in the Brandywine Heights Area School District. I started at Lehigh in 1996 as a part time server and served many different roles through 2018. I worked in Member Billing, Human Resources, Membership and then served as Assistant General Manager. Our roots run deep at LCC as when Doug was in high school & college, one of his first jobs was working in Lehigh’s bag room. Our daughter Alexis is a graduate of West Chester University and is employed by Young Life. She and her husband Tom live in Downingtown. Tom is employed by the Downingtown Area School District. Alexis also spent many years serving LCC as a snack bar employee and part time receptionist. Our son Grant is in 8th grade at Lower Macungie Middle School. (Forgive his NCC shirt in the picture below, I need to do some LCC shopping for him!) Doug and I both have large extended families and enjoy spending time with them and entertaining. My entire family is excited for me to return to my roots at Lehigh.
This past year has certainly been unprecedented. I look forward to a better 2021
and lots of great things happening at your Club. If I can be of any assistance at all, please reach out to me! I am a big believer in member feedback, whether positive or negative. It is my goal to exceed member expectations in relation to member service.
I look forward to seeing all of you soon! Sincerely,
Jen

A sincere thank you to all the members that patronized the Men’s Lounge and locker room services this strange year. Let’s hope 2021 is able to restore more normalcy and we can all get back to full service in all areas of the Club.
I also want to thank my staff, Cooper Gregory, Chase Hutterer, Hunter Kern and Bill Pastelyak for working hard in 2020 and most of all, for understanding the flexibility needed in 2020. They all did a fantastic job. Also, congratulations to Chase on graduation from Kutztown University and for securing a full time position at Catasaqua School District.
One last thank you to all the Lehigh members for stopping by the locker room and spreading the holiday cheer! Your gifts are sincerely appreciated.
Thank you,
Ivan Fenstermacher

Candy Cordes
1968-2020
On Monday, December 28th, we received heartbreaking news that long time employee, Candy Cordes passed away on Christmas Eve. For the past few years, she had been battling cancer and with her weakened immune system she contracted Covid and was not able to fight the virus. Since 2014, Candy was a light in all of our days here at LCC. Whether she was serving our members, answering phone calls, or just simply providing a smile she left her impression on so many here at Lehigh. Her bubbly caring personality will be truly missed by so many.
We wish the Cordes family our deepest condolences.

 NOVEMBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Congratulations Todd Grim
I started working at the Club as a caddy in 1978. In 1982 I began working in the kitchen as a dishwasher and worked my way up the ranks working in the pantry and then promoted to the new position Saucier and now daytime Sous Chef. My favorite responsibility is creating and making my soups and I am proud to serve them to you. I am very thankful for the many kind compliments I receive from the members who enjoy them. I hope I can keep making them for many years to come.
I am a father of 3, Zacharie, Seth, and Jacob. I am also a very proud grandfather to 3 wonderful grandchildren, Zera 5, Leayn 3, and our new grandbaby Uhtred who was born in September.
I have enjoyed meeting so many of you and take pride in having served you for so many years. The Club has become a second home to me and that’s how I want you to feel when you are here. I am honored to work at Lehigh Country Club and l look forward to many more years of service to you and your families.

DECEMBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Congratulations Stephanie Flores!
I am truly humbled by receiving the Employee of the Month! Only have started with the LCC team in August, I was warmly welcomed by all. Thank you to all the management and team for making LCC such a pleasant place to work.
I would also like to thank all the members for welcoming me to the front desk. It has been a pleasure getting to know everyone! Working in hospitatlity has been my calling
for as long as I can remember. Being at the Club has been rewarding since day one and continues to be daily. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to the year ahead.
