Saturday, December 12
I have seen a lot of wine pass through my time as a Sommelier, a lot! Putting together a wine dinner is an immense amount of fun to plan, pair, and host. It really helps when you can be excited about the portfolio that you are promoting. Desparada Wines certainly triggered my interest to host a dinner!WinemakerVailia From settled in Paso Robles and founded Desparada after years of traveling, working on vineyards, and curating her own style
of winemaking. In her own words, she is a Bordeaux and Italian varietal winemaker who is guided by spirit as opposed to style. Her portfolio speaks to and denounces that ethos in one fell swoop; this organized chaos has me intrigued!
In true Lehigh Country Club wine dinner fashion, Chef Randy and I will collaborate on a 5 course paired menu to accentuate food and wine. As always, a few surprises may arise along the way. This will certainly be a dinner to remember.
Reception will begin at 6:00pm, with seating promptly at 6:45pm.

HOLIDAY SPECIALS AT THE LCC GOLF SHOP
Winter Clothing
The LCC Golf Shop has winter clothing for everyone no matter what your favorite winter activity might be! If you are a winter golfer, a walker on the cold winter days, a paddle tennis player,
a spectator attending your children’s soccer, hockey, or football games we have just what you need to stay warm and toasty on the cold, windy days. We will be featuring cashmere and merino wool sweaters, 1⁄4 zip wind sweaters, slacks, long sleeve golf and dress shirts, jackets and pullovers from companies such as Polo, Glenmuir, Fairway & Greene, Belyn Key, Footjoy, Donald Ross, Levelwear, Greyson, and Sun Ice. Stop in the Golf Shop and check out our great selections! Special orders are also available if the products are still in stock with the companies.
Golf Equipment
How was your golf game in the 2020 season? Did you continue to pay your playing competitors because they kept scoring lower than you and hitting it past you all day? If so, maybe a new set
of clubs or a new driver is just what you need to jump start your game in the 2021 season. The holidays are a great time to put in your request for some new equipment. All holiday purchases will include the following –
• Custom fitting by an LCC Golf Professional
• MAP pricing from the companies
• Complimentary gift wrapping
• LCC nametags
We will bill your account for 50% of the total purchase price of a set of clubs and the necessary final charge to your account occurs when the clubs are in your hands as soon as the weather permits. In the spring or if the winter is mild, schedule a fitting and then try the newest 2021 models from Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Ping, Mizuno and Cleveland Golf.
U.S. Kids clubs are in stock for our junior players. We can also order sets for Christmas based on the size of the junior golfer. Sets are available in 5 club, 6 club or 9 club sets. These clubs are great because the shafts are light enough for the juniors to swing with some speed.
Putters from Titleist (Scotty Cameron), Callaway (Odyssey), Ping, and Taylormade are all in stock and special orders are always available as well for the holidays. We have a great selection of Titleist, Ping and Callaway bags in stock in a wide array of colors. These bags are available in single or double straps.
Golf And Street Shoes
We have a great selection of the latest in golf shoes from Footjoy in stock for men and women. If you don’t know someone’s size we can always wrap up a pair of shoes for the holidays and then they can exchange for another pair or size. We have Footjoy dress shoes in stock as well and can always special order dress shoes from several other companies as well.
Gifts for that “Hard to Buy For” Person
Most of us have someone on our holiday gift list who has everything or is just really hard to buy for. Here are some great ideas for just those kind of people!
• Echo – wool scarves, hats and gloves
• LCC embroidered belts
• Sterling glassware in sets of 2 or 4
• A package of lessons from your favorite LCC Golf Professional
• Personalized golf balls (must be ordered by 12/5)
• Footjoy winter and rain gloves
• Bushnell rangefinders, Wingman speakers, and GPS watches
• Tica and Martin Dingman leather wallets and billfolds
• Club Glove travel covers
• CBD lotions, gummies, and tinture oils

Racquets Director 610.434.7884
MESSAGE FROM ARI DATTA
Dear Members,
What a crazy and exciting year we have had so far at racquets. We had so many of our members come out to the Racquets facility and use it. We had a record breaking number of our members who came out this year. Pickleball has been really picking up at LCC, and it is nice to see all of our four pickleball courts being filled during the weekly round-robins. My staff and I are always very excited to see the members on the courts. As we transitioned from tennis and pickleball to paddle, we held the 2020 Tennis Club Championships. Below are the champions and the finalists:
Men’s Singles
Winner: Dr. Martin Oselkin Finalist: Dr. Jay Talsania
Men’s Doubles
Winner: Dr. Jay Talsania/Mr. Ed Coringrato Finalist: Mr. Anthony Abdalla/Mr. Aiden Springs
Ladies Doubles
Winner: Mrs. Diane Lyons/Mrs. Joanne Palumbo Finalist: Mrs. Gretchen Carosella/Mrs. Kathy Thompson
Mixed Doubles
Winner: Mr. James Gatter/Mrs. Kathy Thompson Finalist: Mr. Jay Talsania/Mrs. Katie Brown
We transitioned into paddle season from October. This season we will have two ladies and three men’s team from LCC compete in the Philadelphia Paddle league. These players drive weekly to all the clubs in the Philadelphia to compete. I really appreciate their commitment to the team and their efforts.
I wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a very Happy and Healthy New Year. I hope the new year brings us a better year!

Dear Lehigh Country Club Members,
I am pleased to announce that Lehigh Country Club's new General Manager will be Jennifer Felegy. She will be starting in January 2021.
Many of you know Jennifer — she was a valued employee of Lehigh Country Club for many years. Jennifer returns to LCC after serving as General Manager of Northampton Country Club for the past two years. At NCC, she successfully grew the membership and enhanced the member experience. The Board values the expertise and knowledge Jennifer gained managing NCC. She will be returning to Lehigh with new ideas and a fresh perspective.
As previously communicated, I led the search with the support of a strong and engaged Search Committee. The committee included Anthony Abdalla, Richard Adams, Robert Beck, Barbara Butz, Joseph D'Amico, Jack Gross, Douglas Leonzi, Jennifer Mann, Kathy Thompson, and Michael Thompson. We investigated several options through the process and worked closely with the executive search firm Kopplin, Kuebler & Wallace. With KK&W's help, the Search Committee evaluated options through a thoughtful and deliberative process. Once the Search Committee's work was complete, they unanimously recommended to the Board of Governors that Jennifer be our next General Manager. The Board of Governors unanimously approved the Search Committee's recommendation.
Jennifer's official start date will be early January 2021. However, she does plan to visit the Club before her start date to greet the staff and reacquaint herself with the Club. Please join me in welcoming Jennifer back to Lehigh Country Club. I am excited to attract someone with Jennifer's talent and experience and her unique understanding of our Club's history and membership.
I look forward to Jennifer's arrival at the Club in January. Operating without a GM has required many of our staff to step up. Please join me in thanking the LCC staff for their service and dedication during this time of transition.
Sincerely,
John T. Yurconic President

MESSAGE FROM THE MEN’S LOCKER ROOM STAFF
Dear Lehigh Members,
The Men’s Locker Room staff sends well wishes to all members, staff and management for a very special holiday season and a happy and healthy new year!
Please remember that the Men’s Locker Room and all its amenities are available for your use during the winter season.
Cooper and I will be here all winter waiting for those bags full of shoes and leather goods that need attention. Chase and Bill will be here from time to
time as well.
The Men’s Lounge is a great place for those special clients or a working lunch
or dinner. The Men’s Locker Room and Lounge are staffed until 7pm, unless we have business to stay later or a pre-planned event. If you would like to utilize the Lounge after 7pm, please give us a call and we will stay open, 610-435-5311.
This has been an unusual year for events, but we are still able to host small groups. If you have a group that would like to have a very special dinner, please contact me and we can set something up. Bone in ribeye steaks or prime aged beef have been very popular in the past. Chef Randy needs a few weeks to prepare such an aged beef, but it is well worth the planning and wait. Please contact me to set up your dinner now. Brad can assist in picking out the right wine for your dinner as well.
Sincerely,
Your Men’s Locker Room Staff
Ivan Fenstermacher, Cooper Gregory, Chase Hutterer, Hunter Kern, and Bill Pastelyak.

Congratulations Bryan Saxon!
Winning employee of the month is a great honor. 2020 was filled with many new challenges that helped me grow as an assistant pro. I enjoyed working with the members of all ages. This year I started working with the junior golfers, it has been a great experience and I love helping our juniors understand the golf game. This is my second year at Lehigh. Wayne and the rest of our golf shop staff have been great and always looking to help each other. Looking forward to many more years to come at Lehigh.

   OCTOBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Congratulations Eric Krause!
Eric joined the Facilities/Maintenance Department in 2018. He has always enjoyed creating and fixing things so mechanical maintenance work was always a natural extension. He enjoys spending time and being active outdoors with his wife Vicki and son Landen along with their two dogs. He prides himself on balancing his work ethic and home life as to make the best of both.

Dear Lehigh Country Club Members,
As has been the Lehigh holiday tradition, each Club employee will be given a week's salary as a thank you for their service throughout the year. I hope the membership understands the effort required
to provide the service level we have come to enjoy at LCC. 2020 has been a challenging year due to COVID-19, and the Lehigh Country Club staff has provided the membership with a safe and enjoyable environment to spend time with friends and family.
The accommodations made to open our dining facilities, golf course, racquets area, and pool required extra staff effort. They did an excellent job throughout the year, adjusting to the new normal. We have a dedicated and committed group of professionals who serve the membership well.
Many Club members tip visible members of the staff during the holiday season. Unfortunately, many key staff members are not visible to the membership yet are critical to the success of Lehigh Country Club. To show our appreciation to each full-time staff member, the Board has elected to provide an easy vehicle for Club members to thank the staff during the holiday season.
If you desire, in your October monthly statement, there will be
a slip to fill out indicating the amount you wish to contribute, or you can add a contribution to your October payment. The money collected will be equally divided amongst all the Club's employees -- this will be in addition to one week's salary. All employees
will receive a card with the names of the members who have contributed. I know it will be much appreciated. (Only full-time employees of one full year of service or more will be eligible, and our senior management team will not benefit from this effort).
The Board created this vehicle to send members' thanks in an efficient way for each long-term employee. We sincerely hope that you will consider a gift to these loyal and dedicated staff members.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support of our incredible LCC team. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if you have any questions.
On behalf of the Lehigh Country Club Board, we wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Sincerely,
John T. Yurconic, President

 November 3, 2020
Dear Fellow Members,
As the weather turns colder and we transition to indoor dining, I want to remind members of Club guidelines regarding COVID-19. The State of Pennsylvania allows indoor dining at 50% capacity if establishments strictly adhere to the State-enforced guidelines and complete a self-certification. One of the essential guidelines involves wearing masks. All members and guests must wear a mask while entering, exiting, and traveling through all Club buildings. Masks may be removed while seated to dine. Our LCC staff will continue to wear masks while interacting with members.
Due to the increased enforcement by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and for the safety of members and staff; members or guests who cho ose to not wear masks while indoors will be subject to suspension from all club privileges.
We have established a personal travel policy for employees. The travel policy requires employees who travel internationally or to high-risk states to quarantine post-travel for 14 days before returning to work. Employees are also required to complete a COVID-19 symptoms questionnaire prior to returning to work.
We encourage members to adhere to Pennsylvania travel guidelines and quarantine when returning from international travel or high-risk states as identified by Pennsylvania. You can find additional information regarding travel at: https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Travelers.aspx
Lehigh Country Club has been a respite for many of us during the pandemic. We are doing our best to remain a safe and welcoming place for our membership – please do your part to keep our Club safe.
Thank you,
